Description:Up for sale is a Sheldon Jones custom fixed-blade knife, a beautifully handcrafted piece from the late knifemaker based in Frederick, Maryland. Sheldon Jones was trained under legendary knifemaker William “Bill” Moran, the father of modern Damascus steel, making his work highly regarded among collectors.
Features:???? Blade Length: 3 inches – sharp and well-balanced???? Overall Length: 7 1/4 inches???? Handle: Smooth wooden grip for a comfortable hold???? Sheath Included: Securely fits the knife for safe storage and carry???? Markings:
- "SHELDON" stamped on the front tang
- "160" stamped on the back???? Maker: Sheldon Jones – known for his attention to detail and handcrafted designs
- Also included is the soft sheath.
I also have a copy of a Sheldon Knives & Edged Weapons catalog featuring other knives made by Sheldon Jones. However, this specific knife is not listed in the catalog, making it a unique find.
This knife is not in mint condition, but I do not believe it has ever been used or carried. It does have some marks on the blade and the back edge—please see photos for details.
