Rare Vintage AUTOMATIC OTF Switchblade Comb, Original Box, Japan

Rare Vintage AUTOMATIC OTF Switchblade Comb, Original Box, Japan.

Here's a cool Automatic Comb. It's an Out The Front Switchblade made to look like the Super Automatic OTF knives. I've never seen another one! It has AUTOMATIC on the handle and JAPAN on the back side of the comb. It's actually made better than the knife version in my opinion. I believe the comb is steel. Notice the bolsters are S shape like the side opening Italian stiletto's. I'm guessing this was made in the late 70's or early 80's. The original box is included with lots of shelf wear including a piece that's fallen off, another that's very close to falling off and some pieces taped on.

Here's a great piece to add to your vintage otf collection! Please remember to check out my other items.

WANT LIST: I do my best to maintain an inventory of interesting and unique knives. I'm always looking for single pieces and collections. My current switchblade focus includes Miniature & Keychain, Vintage Imports from Europe (Spain, France, Italy, etc.) & Asia (Japan, Korea, Taiwan, etc.), RPK's, Bullfighters, older Microtechs & Daltons and some other American Switchblades. I also like interesting miniature knives and arms, 1980's Import Balisongs, Coutel, Digby's (Graham Clayton) and older Great Eastern Cutlery folders.

ABOUT: I've been into knives since I was a kid. I always seemed to have a small accumulation of them in my dresser drawer for example. I started carrying one regularly in 1991 when I was in the US Army stationed in Panama. My knife collecting days started around 2010 and in 2021 I decided to become a dealer.

I'm still a collector so I understand the fun and excitement of finding a new treasurer. Because of that I always do my best to give accurate information about my knives and their condition. I take lots of pictures and offer video's for all the switchblades and some of the other knives I sell. I research sales prices and other available information and have a great network of dealers and collectors to draw from. All that said, I still make mistakes so please let me know if something I say is innacurate or misleading.
