They battled the mighty Persian Empire led by King Xerxes at the battle of Thermopilae in 480 BC. The Spartans are credited with preserving Democracy. This is faithful reproduction of the sword. It is made of 512 layers of US1095 and 15N20 steel in a TWIST PATTERN. The handle is Rosewood and it has the Damascus DUAL GUARD.
