Clip Point
The clip is the most common blade found on American manufactured knives. Its features make it extremely versatile. It has a large belly for slicing, and the concave slope from the back to the tip creates a sharper tip that is well suited for detail work. The design often gives up tip strength for the sharp tip.
Drop Point
This blade style is ideal for hunting because of its versatility and strength. The shape creates a very strong tip, and a large belly for slicing.
Tanto
This blade was originally designed in Japan to pierce armor. They have extraordinarily strong points that are in-line with the pivot. Unfortunately, the cutting surface is greatly compromised to achieve the tip strength.
Wharncliff
These blades have a flat that creates an extremely sharp point. They are ideal for cutting cleanly on flat surfaces and for cutting meticulous designs.

BT2
Ths is a black Teflon® based polymer that offers excellent corrosion protection. Watch out for scratches.
BK1
This is a blend of polymers and ceramic that is thinner than BT2, and according to Benchmade's website has equal to or better corrosion resistance, and much better wear resistance due to the ceramic.
