ADDITIONAL INFO: This is a very lightweight knife for its size. The Liner Action series is noted for their light weight and incredibly sharp blades. This knife was sold to me as a new knife and I could see that someone had tried to sharpen it and done a poor job of it. I took it to the Kershaw factory in Tualatin Oregon and had them sharpen it for me. The Liner Action series was the 2001/2002 Kershaw catalog. I do not know when they were dropped from the line but it has been several years ago now. I am told by Kershaw collector’s that the large 2420 with the tanto blade is the most difficult knife in this series to find. The Liner Action series came in three sizes; 4-1/2", 3-3/4", 3-3/8”; there were two blade patterns, drop point & tanto and each blade was offered in fine edge (plain) and 40% serrated. There are still a number of these that show up on eBay, though rarely do you see them with the large tanto blade and in good condition. The asking price even on the smaller ones is often in excess of $100, especially if they are still in the package.
