Made in America! 

The one and only Winchester Repeating Arms Company teamed up with Simmons Hardware to open up a line of their own hardware stores, which operated from about 1918 to 1930. These stores offered a whole catalog of tools, hardware and other goods. You could swing by the Winchester store to pick up a hammer, a flashlight, or even a pair of roller skates! Despite producing high quality products for over a decade, the endeavor wasn't as successful as they had hoped. And although the Winchester brand survived, the Great Depression forced them to abandon the Winchester Store operation.

Today you can pick up your own piece of this history with a nifty little flathead screwdriver, made by the Winchester Store for Prunk Hardware Co out of Indianapolis, IN. While researching this item, I found a few ads and listings for Prunk Hardware from 1922 and 1923. (See pictures) The screwdriver itself appears to be in remarkable condition, with very little signs of use or wear. It is absolutely solid enough to be put to use if you so choose (which I would not)
