AG Russell is a name which is well known among knife collectors. Established in 1964 out of Springdale, Arkansas; AG Russell quickly became the largest mail order knife company in the US and soon after, co-founded the Knife Collectors Club and the Knifemakers Guild by 1970. By the time of his passing in 2018, Russells name had been added to countless Halls of Fame in the industry for producing quality knives and pioneering innovative designs. The Russell family has collaborated with nearly every major knife brand imaginable; including Puma, Cattaraugus, Moki and even buying out Bertram Cutlery, makers of Hen and Rooster.

Like many AG Russell knives of the 80's and 90's, this knife was also made with the finest Japanese craftsmanship. It has beautiful Cocobolo scales, with nickel silver bolsters, brass liners and stainless steel backspring. The 2" drop point blade is made from ATS-34 steel. It measures 2.75" overall closed length. It maintains decent snap on close, a little stiff on open, but locks up solid. No wobble or play. The blade still has the factory edge; never used or sharpened. There are some light scratches on the blade and minor blemishes on the scales and blosters (see pics) Possibly from light pocket wear and blade rub.
