This is a 50 year old stag canoe made for A.G. Russell in 1969 by the Bertram Cutlery Company in Solingen Germany.  Done in the old school way of knife making, this knife has stag handles that retain their bark right up close to the bolsters.  This takes more time and involves cutting the excess stag off the back of the slabs in order to keep the bark on the front.  Many knives made today simply place the stag on the liner and "haft" the excess away exposing the white inner part of the stag making it fit against the bolsters.  The handles are chip and crack free.  The stainless steel blades have not been used or resharpened and retain their factory edge.  Nickle silver bolsters, pins and liners.  Measures 3 1/2" closed OAL.  Great snap and no wobble or play.  No box, but I will include a zippered storage pouch.
