Here is Prototype knife from our collection. This is a Case XX Classic 1996 Cheetah (1011 1/2) Genuine Sheep Horn Knife. This knife is in the recall Case Tin. (Check out the spelling of Pennsylvania) 

You also get the COA from Parkers' Knife Collector Service    This knife has never been used and is in the same condition as we got it from Jim Parker. You will notice in the photos a dark area on the front and back of the handle. This is just part of the stag horn and up close in person looks great!   From the Pocker Knife Traders Vol. 9 by Jim Parker: Case Classic Knives Prototypes:  Case Classic prototype knives are some of the most sought-after knives in the cutlery industry today. These knives are extremely rare. There are many handle material and etch variations in prototype knives.    The Webster's Dictionary lists the prototype as "an original model on which something is patterned. That is just what these knives are.   Charlie Dorton and Dave Scott had many prototypes made and submitted to Parker's Knife Collectors Service during the Case Classic era. These knives came in for numerous reasons. Parkers' would use the knives to look at particular handle materials and how they would look in a specific pattern. They would also look at different etches on certain patterns. Actual knife patterns were submitted to Parkers from time to time. And, of course, the exotics were made as Prototype samples and low-run knives. Tes exotics, due to the fragile stability of the handle materials, had to be hand-assembled   We accept Paypal.
