Large Case Copperlock. Midnight Stag. First Production Run. 

Model 51549L. Item #2166. 

This was an SFO by Shepherd Hills made in 1997 (first production year) with the floating dots tang stamp. 

"XX" on bolster. Front of blade etched with a stag and the words, "MIDNIGHT STAG." The back of the blade is not etched at all.

There were three versions of this knife made (1,000 total).

• This one offered here in this listing.
• One with the front blade etched (the same as this listing), and also an etching on the back of the blade with the words, "First Production Run." I have this one for sale in another listing. 
• One with only the front blade etched but much smaller. I never did get that one. 

This is a super nice knife. Beautiful stag handles. Nice and tight. Good snap. Zero wobble. Unused. Unsharpened. It's beautiful. Original box included.
