This is a like new Jim Bowie brand stockman.  Jim Bowie is a brand name used by the Carl Schlieper Company.  They are made in Solingen, Germany, one of the world's great cutlery making centers.  Carl Schlieper also markets Eye Brand knives.  Many of the models are nearly identical across the two brands.  This medium sized stockman measures 3 1/2 inches closed.  This knife has groved nickel silver bolsters, fancy swedging, blade etch, and a long pull on the master clip blade.  All blades open and close properly with excellent snap and no wobble.  The handles are beautifully matched stag.  You would need to have this one in hand to fully appreciate its quality craftsmanship.  This is a hard to find knife, especially in this superb condition.  Click to expand the photos so you can better see the details.  It would make a wonderful addition to any collection.  Don't let it get away!
