Western USA - W39 Hunting and Skinning Knife 1989 by Coleman
Made in America!
Western Knife Company was born in Boulder, Colorado in 1911. It produced high quality hunting knives for over 70 years before being sold to Coleman in 1984. This knife was produced during the short lived Coleman era (1984-1990) Camillus took over ownership and production of Western brand knives in 1992 until they closed their doors in 2007.
This knife has a 5" upswept, skinner style, stainless steel blade and measures about 9.25" overall. The beautiful wood scales sit between multicolored stacked rings, and are held on with brass pins. It has a brass guard and stainless steel pommel. The blade is beginning to develop some patina on both sides of the blade, which appears to have some light use. Overall, the knife is in great shape. It is solid, with no loose or wobbling parts. The scales are in excellent condition, as is the original leather sheath.
**Note: I am new to knife collecting and selling. All descriptions are to the best of my knowledge and in an attempt to be as honest and forthright as possible in regards to knife condition. I have conducted hours upon hours of research on each individual knife that comes into my possession in an attempt to set a fair price. PLEASE feel free to contact me for more information on this or any other item in my store.
