Wade Butcher Sheffield 9 1/4" OAL Stacked Leather Firth's Stainless Full Tang No Sheath
This knife was made sometime after 1900 when the Firth company had perfected the 'stainless steel' process. Their name is on the pile side. W.S. Butcher was a family business from the mid 1800's in Sheffield. Wade was the American importer who bought into the business as most of the production was sold in America before the tariff of 1891. Well taken care of knife with a sharp swedge. Full nutted tang with what looks like a pewter pommel. Nice full blade.
