Rare Vintage Wandy 7" Italian Stiletto, D-Stamped Liners
This is a Rare Vintage Wandy 7" Stiletto Pocket Knife, Made in Italy, Circa Early-1960s. FEATURES INCLUDE: Fine-Edge Flat-Grind (Standard) Blade and a Handle with Buffalo (Bison) Horn Scales, Nickel-Silver Bolsters with Swivel-Bolster Release, Brass Pins & D-Stamped Liners, Carbon-Steel Backspring and a Safety Switch. The blade has "WANDY" over "INOX" lightly-stamped into the tang. SPECS INCLUDE: Overall Length measures 6-7/8" with a 3" Blade. This Knife shows use, and appears to be in FAIR - GOOD CONDITION overall. The blade has been resharpened with multiple grind marks with some metal loss; blade still fires fast, but locks-up with a significant amount of side-to-side mov't (the 2ndd photo shows the blade's position when released) and closes into the handle's liners w/o peaking. The handle's Buffalo (Bovine) Horn Scales have mellowed with age and shows surface wear consistent with daily handling but nothing cracked or chipped; the NS Bolsters show some surface tarnish but remain ding-free; the carbon-steel backspring is straight with no liner gaps although it has darkened with age. And, the safety switch still works. Comes only as shown, no factory packaging or paperwork like most real Italians. Please ask questions before bidding or buying. Must be at least 21 years of age to purchase. No foreign sales/shipping. Thanks again for looking!!
