You will likely not see another one like this in your lifetime.

Here is a 1920-40 "Case Tested XX" Copperhead knife finished in green bone scales...WHICH APPEARS TO HAVE NEVER BEEN USED DURING ITS 80++ YEAR OLD LIFE.  The blades still retain what appears to be their original factory finish...zero scratches or usage marks.  The scales and bolsters are equally clean.  The blades are also completely full and show no signs of ever being sharpened, though there is some spotting from age.  The knife does not display a model number on either of the blades. THIS IS AN AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL KNIFE.

I have no idea what this rare piece is worth.  Sargent's book (7th Edition) indicates a valuation of $1,500 for a mint green bone Copperhead of this vintage...with a photo in Sargent's book on page 229.  BUT, the knife being valued in Sargent's book (presumably, based on the photo) is (I believe) inferior to this knife in 2 ways.  First, this knife is a "long pull"...which is generally more highly valued by collectors.  And second, this knife has the desireable "bomb" emblem instead of the more common oval shaped "case" emblem".

So, anyway, I am going to sell this knife and I am going to put a pretty large number on it in terms of asking price.  I am in no hurry to sell...and am going to let the market tell me what it is worth.  But someone out there is going to get a fantastic and gorgeous and super rare old "green bone" Case knife for their collection.
