Here's a knife with some history.  It is a John Primble brand scout/utility.  John Primble was a store brand used by the Belknap Hardware and Manfacturing Company, based in Louisville, Kentucky from about 1940 to 1968.  Belknap serviced a wide network of affiliated hardware stores, providing quality products in a wide range of merchandise.  John Primble knives were known to be well made and reliable.  This knife is a good example of the quality Primble knives were known for.  It was built under contract by Boker USA as attested to by the star stamped into the pile side of the tang on the main blade.  This knife has a nice full main spear blade and has the pen blade rather than the leather punch blade.  All blades and implements open and close with good snap and no wobble.  The main spear blade is nicely swedged with a long pull. If you're looking for a rock solid scout/utility knife with a bit of history, this is the one you've been looking for.  It would make a great addition to any collection or a fantastic EDC.
