This is a very rare old Maher & Grosh knife, which, according to my research, was probably made for Maher & Grosh (hardware firm) by the Miller Brother's knife company.  I got this information from a discussion forum on AAPK.

This knife is quite unusual as it used the Miller Brother's patented "screw attachment" to affix the bone scales to the knife body.  The knife is also unusual in that it has a metal cover over the back springs of the knife.

This is a knife that has been used, carried and sharpened.  It features a "long pull" main blade, and it appears there MIGHT have been a "shield" on the front of the knife that is now absent.  I draw this conclusion due to the two small rivets on the front scale of the knife...HOWEVER, the bone scales adjacent to these rivets are totally unmarked and show NO evidence that a shield was ever affixed.
