This is a Possibly Vintage BOKER U.S.A. Model No 9293 1-Blade Fishtail Folding and Hunting Folding Pocket Knife with a 3 1/4” Long Used and Sharpened Carbon Steel Clip Point Blade with a Long Nail Pull, Very Reddish Brown Jigged Bone Stag Scales, a Circular Nickel Shield with the Boker Tree Brand Tree logo Stamped in the Center and Inlaid Flush in the Front Scale with Three (3) Brass Handle Pins in Each Scale, Elongated Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Bolsters, Nickel Silver Fish Tail End Caps, Polished Brass Liners and a Single Steel Back Spring with No Breaks or Cracks, 3 7/8” in Length.

This is a very possibly Vintage BOKER U.S.A. Model No 9293 1-Blade Fishtail Fishing and Hunting Folding Pocket Knife. The knife has a single used and sharpened 3 1/4” long carbon steel clip point blade with a long nail pull.  Both faces have a bunch of scratches from use and sharpening but otherwise they cleaned up nice and shiny anyway. Boker called the 9293 their Fishing and Hunting Knife.  Stamped on the front tang is BOKER (over) U.S.A.  Stamped on the back tang is 92, the Boker tree logo, and then 93. Their model number and not the years made.  The blade has excellent snap on both open and close and when fully open it’s tight with no side to side wobble and no up or down play.  The knife has an excellent plus set of very reddish brown jigged bone stag scales. They’re free of any cracks, splits or missing chips and they have that great reddish brown color.  There’s a circular nickel shield inlaid flush in the front scale. Stamped within it is the Boker Tree Brand tree logo for that era. The knife has three (3) brass handle pins in each scale. It has brightly polished nickel silver elongated bolsters but they do have quite a few handling scratches. The knife has brightly polished nickel silver fishtail shaped end caps and they have some handling type or pocket carry type scratches. The liners are polished brass. It has a single polished steel back spring which is free of any cracks or breaks. It continues to perform the functions it was designed to perform. The knife is 3 7/8” in. length and would still look good in your fishtail Jack collection. I rarely buy Boker U.S.A. knives as I prefer the German made knives that are much easier to date. But I’ll tell you what this Boker U.S.A. made Fishtail is the same quality knife they made in Germany. This would be a great knife for EDC and still has a lot of life and use left I her.  Additional photos or information on request.
