This is a RARE vintage Case 4165 SS Texas Special Knife.

It comes in the original (EVER RARER) correctly marked pumpkin box. 

The front of the main blade has the Serial Number 1672 above the tang which is also on the pumpkin box 

The flat ground folding hunter was a special factory order for Bill Overall, of Arlington, TX, a major player in the early days (and the source for all those extra heavy duty knife rolls from that period) 

These knives were never wholesaled, and never sold directly through Case dealers.

It has the typical pin crack on the back handle (see photo)
