This is a Vintage H BOKER’S & CO’S IMPROVED CUTLERY 2-Blade Swell End Jack Folding Pocket Knife and Has a Used and Sharpened Carbon Steel Spear Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Used and Sharpened Carbon Steel Pen Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, and a Great Set of Dark Brown Jigged Bovine Bone Scales with No Cracks, Splits or Missing Chips, a Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Crest Shaped Shield on the Front Scale, Three Brass Handle Pins in Each Scale, Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Squared Bolsters and Rounded End Caps, Brightly Polished Brass Blade Liners, Two Steel Back Springs with No Cracks or Breaks, 3 3/8” in Length, Made by H Boker & Co’s most Likely in Their Maplewood, New Jersey Plant Between c.1899-1920’s.

This is a nice vintage H BOKER’S IMPROVED CUTLERY 2-Blade Swell End Jack Folding Pocket Knife  The knife has a used and sharpened carbon steel long spear point main blade with a common nail.   Both blade faces have quite a bit of patience and scratches from use. Stamped on the front tang is H. BOKER’S & CO’s (over) IMPROVED (over) CUTLERY.  Stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Brand tree logo used in that era. The secondary blade is a used and sharpened carbon steel pen blade with a common nail pull.  Both faces have scratches from use and sharpening. The front face has a few very scattered light pits. The rear face has even fewer very scattered light pits. Stamped on the front tang is the Boker Tree Brand tree logo of the era. Both blades still have excellent open and close snap and very hard half-stops. The knife has great looking set of dark brown jigged bovine bone scales and they’re in perfect condition with no cracks, splits or missing chips. There is a brightly polished nickel crest shaped shield on the front scale. It has three brass handle pins in each scale. It has brightly polished nickel silver squared bolsters and brightly polished rounded end caps. The knife has two steel back springs and both are free of any cracks or breaks. Both springs continue to perform their designed functions. This vintage to antique H Boker & Co’s Improved Cutlery 2-Blade Swell End Jack was made between c.1899-1920’s.  This is the only stamped used by both the US and German made Bokers.
