This is an Exceptional Vintage, Actually Antique, 3 3/4” Long H. BOKER & CO’S IMPROVED CUTLERY 2-Blade Equal End Shadow Pen Folding Pocket Knife with an Unused and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Spear Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull and it’s Original Factory Mirror Polish and it’s Original Factory Edge, an Unused and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Skinner, or Straightback, Blade with a Common Nail Pull and its Original Factory Mirror Polish and it’s Original Factory Edge, a Gorgeous Set of Fiery Genuine Mother-of-Pearl Scales in Perfect Condition with No Cracks, Splits, Missing Chips or Missing Slivers, Three Nickel Silver Handle Pins in Each Scale, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, a Single Polished Steel Back Spring with No Cracks or Breaks, 3 3/4” in Length, Made by H. Boker & Co’s Located in Solingen, Germany Between c.1869-1910.

 This is a Very Long, 3 3/4”, Near Mint Antique 111-152 year old H. Boker & Co’s Improved Cutlery 2-Blade Equal End Shadow Pen Folding Pocket Knife made between c.1869-1910 in Germany. The blade combination of this exceptional 3 3/4” long pen knife is more typical of what you would see on a standard office knife. Though the blades aren’t without some very minor issues they’re both still unused and unsharpened carbon steel with their original factory mirror polish and their original factory edges. It has a spear point main blade with a common nail pull. The front face has a very few very scattered specks and short spider legs but are mostly impossible to see with the unaided eye. The rear face has an area about 1” long on the very top of the blade with some specks and very short spider legs. Again, these are difficult to see with the unaided eye. Mine anyway. Stamped on the front tang is H. BOKER & CO’S (over) IMPROVED (over) CUTLERY. Stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Brand Logo Tree logo used during that time period. On the other end of the frame is a skinner, or straightback, secondary blade. The front face has just a few very hard to see and very scattered specks and short spider legs. The rear face has just a very few very scattered specks along the top edge. Stamped on the front tang is H. BOKER & CO’S (over) CUTLERY (over) GERMANY. Stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Brand tree logo used in that day. Both blades have excellent, hard and loud snap on both open and close. This old German Boker has a gorgeous set of genuine and very fiery Mother-of-Pearl scales. They’re in perfect condition with no cracks, splits or missing chips. They show the pinks, blues, greens and purples in the pearl when turned in the light. There are three nickel silver handle pins in each scale. The liners are brightly polished brass. There is a shallow easy open on the top of each scales that allows easier access to each nail pull. It has a single polished steel back spring which is free of any breaks or cracks but does have a small area of very light pitting. The back spring continues to perform the functions it was designed to perform. This Antique German made H. Boker & Co’s Improved Cutlery Equal End Shadow Pen Pocket Knife with the fiery Genuine Mother-of-Pearl scales was made in Solingen, Germany between c.1869-1910. The knife is very large for a pen knife and is a full 3 3/4” in length. Additional photos or information on request
