This is a Nice Vintage or Antique MINT Unused and Sharpened H. BOKER & CO SOLINGEN GERMANY 4-Blade EQUAL End Pen "King Cutter" Folding Pocket Knife with a Carbon Steel Spear Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull and Original Reverse Frost Blade Etch, an Unused and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Pen Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, Another Carbon Steel Pen Tertiary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Carbon Steel Dual Sided Nail File, or Manicure, Fourth Blade, Blade, Black and Light Greenish Water Buffalo Horn Scales with No Cracks, Splits or Missing Chips, a Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Long Narrow Bar Shield Inlaid Flush in the Center of the Front Scale, Three (3) Brightly Nickel Silver Handle Pins in Each Scale, Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Tip Bolsters, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, 2 Polished Steel Back Springs with No Cracks or Breaks, 3 1/8” in Length, Made in Germany by H. Boker & Co. Located in Solingen, Germany and Made Between c.1891-1944.

This H. BOKER & CO SOLINGEN GERMANY stamp was the stamping used on Boker Knives made in Germany between c.1891-1944. All the blades are unused and unsharpened and still all retain their original factory finish and original factory edge. The knife has a carbon steel spear point main blade with a common nail pull. It has it original reverse frost etching the front face with King Cutter inside a fancy banner. Stamped on the rear tang is H. BOKER & CO (over) SOLINGEN (over) GERMANY.  Stamped on the front tang is the Boker Tree Brand logo for that era. Next to the spear point main blade is a carbon steel pen secondary blade with a common nail pull.  Stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Brand logo for that era.  Stamped on the front tang is H. BOKER & CO (over) SOLINGEN (over) GERMANY. On the other end of the frame is the second carbon steel pen blade with a common nail pull. Stamped on the front tang is H. BOKER & CO (over) SOLINGEN (over ) GERMANY. Stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Brand tree logo of that era. The final blade is a carbon steel dual-sided nail file, or manicure, blade with a common nail pull. Each side has a standard vertical ridge and valley type file blade. The top portion of the blade is the fingernail cleaner. Stamped on the rear tang is H. BOKER & CO (over) SOLINGEN (over) GERMANY. Stamped on the front tang is the Boker Tree Brand tree logo of that era. All four blades have excellent open and close snap and all four have hard half-stops. The scales are black and greenish water Buffalo horn and are in excellent condition with no cracks, splits or missing chips. There is a brightly polished nickel silver narrow bar shield inlaid flush in the center of the front scale. There are three brightly polished nickel silver handle pins in each scale. The liners are brightly polished brass.  The knife has two polished steel back springs both of which are free of any cracks or breaks and both continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform. This old Vintage or Antique H. Boker & Co Solingen Germany 4-blade Equal End Pen Folding Picket Knife is 3 1/8” in length. I believe this knife also came off the infamous Felix Ernst salesman's Sample board out of the Solingen factory which he took when he retired. Additional photos or information on request.
