Boker & Co Between c.1869-1910.

If you collect vintage Boker pocket knives it’s going to be hard to find one better than this Mint condition Serpentine Dogleg Jack Salesman’s Sample. Made between c.1869-1910 this H. Boker & Co’s Improved Cutlery 2-blade Serpentine Dogleg Jack was made in the H. Boker & Co factory in Solingen, Germany. This particular knife came off a salesman’s sample board that was in the Boker factory in Solingen. The board was taken by Ernst Miller, a former president of the factory, when he left the company. It has only recently been cut away from the original board. This beautiful old Boker has an unused and unsharpened carbon steel spear point main blade with a long nail pull. It still has its original factory mirror polish and its original factory edge. The front face has just some teeny nearly impossible to see scatter specks. Hand printed on the rear face is the salesman’s code which is still mostly visible. Stamped on the front tang is H. BOKER & CO’S (over) IMPROVED (over) CUTLERY. It also has an unused and unsharpened carbon steel pen secondary blade with a common nail pull. Both faces still have their original factory mirror polish and the blade still has its original factory edge. There are a couple of very small short spider legs on the front face just above the tang and just a single tiny one one on the top of the rear face. Stamped on the front tang is H. BOKER & CO’S (over) CUTLERY (over) GERMANY. Both blades have hard open and close snap.The knife has a great set of slick black solid composition scales in excellent condition with no cracks, splits or missing chips. There’s a brightly polished German Silver crest shaped shield inlaid flush in the front scale. The knife has brightly polished German Silver rounded bolsters and end caps. The knife has polished Brass liners and two brightly polished steel back springs. Both back springs are free of any cracks or breaks and both continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform. This outstanding vintage Salesman’s Sample H BOKER & CO’S IMPROVED CUTLERY serpentine Dogleg Jack Folding Pocket Knife is in Mint condition and is 3 1/8” in length. Made in the Solingen, Germany Boker Baumwerks factory between c.1869-1910 this knife is between 111-152 years old. Serious offers only please. Additional information or photos upon request.
