This is an Unused and Unsharpened Near Mint to Mint Condition 1st Generation Frank Buster Fight’n Rooster Gold Plated 3- Blade Premium Stock Pocket Knife “Blue Mermaid" No. 109 of Only 400 Made, the Entire Knife is Gold Plated Except for the Enamel Portion of the Handles, with a Clip Point Main Blade with a Long Nail Pull and Reverse Frosted Front Blade Etch, a Sheepfoot Point Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Spey Point Tertiary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, Highly Decorated Handles with a "Blue (Background) Mermaid" with Golen Hair and on a  Blue Background, Three Brass Handle Pins in Each Handle, Two (2) Brightly Polished Steel Back Springs with No Cracks or Breaks, Made at the Olbertz Factory in Germany pre-1982 and is 3 7/8” in Length. 

First off I need to explain that the LEDs in my light booth tend to wash out the color gold and brass though some photos are better than others. But I can assure you that the knife is definitely gold plated and looks gold outside the photo booth.    

This is an Unused and Unsharpened Frank Buster Fight’n Rooster 1st generation 3-Blade Gold Plated Premium Stock Knife and is No. 109 of just 400 made. There were 12 different variations of the gold plated stockmen with only 400 of each made with the exception of one that limited to 100 made. I have the complete set but this is one of the duplicates I have. There were three different variations in the "Mermaid" handle variation; Blue Background, Green Background and the Black Background, the carbon steel blades are all unused and unsharpened and all are gold plated. It has a clip point main blade with a long nail pull. The front face has a reverse frosting etching that reads Fight’n Rooster and has the Fight’n Rooster logo. The number of 109 is etched just above the front tang. Stamped on the front tang is the Fight’n Rooster logo (over) SOLINGEN. Stamped on the rear tang is FRANK BUSTER (in an arch)(over) CUTLERY (over) CO (over) GERMANY. Next to it is a sheepfoot blade with a common nail pull. Stamped on the front tang is Fight’n Rooster logo (over) SOLINGEN. On the other end of the frame is a spey point tertiary blade with a common nail pull.  Stamped on the front tang is the Fight’n Rooster logo (over) SOLINGEN. All 3 blades still have hard and loud open and close snap.  The handles are gold plated as well. The interior portion of the handles are enameled with a white Mermaid with gold hair and a blue enamel background. The ends have vertical lines delineating the ends to appear as the bolsters. These bolster areas have a blue enamel background with the gold plated surface looking like the spokes of a wheel. The knife has two (2) brightly polished steel back springs. Both are free of any cracks or breaks and both continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform This great looking Mint Condition limited edition gold plated and enamel Frank Buster Fight’n Rooster Premium Stockman With the "Mermaid on the Blue Background" #109 of 400 made and was made in the Olbertz factory in Germany.
