This is one big heavy duty 4-Blade Boker Congress Folding Pocket Knife. All four blade have been used and sharpened often. One thing about the users that didn’t know how to properly sharpen a blade and instead over-sharpen them. They’re very very sharp. Personally I’d prefer to have a blade that’s properly sharpened and still has most of its blade life left. This is probably the biggest Boker Congress I’ve owned and I’ve owned and still own a bunch of them. I do have the 1928 Boker repro catalog but I couldn’t find this particular knife in it. The knife has a carbon steel sheepfoot main blade with a common nail pull.  Both faces have plenty of scratches from use and sharpening and both have quite a of light pitting and scattered staining. Stamped on the front tang is the Boker script stamp and stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Brand tree logo used in that era. Next to it is the first of two carbon steel pen blades with a common nail pull. This one isn’t so over-sharpened and has a little light scattered pitting on each face along with scratches from use and sharpening. Stamped on the front tang is the Boker script stamp and stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Brand tree logo used in that era. On the other end of the frame is my best guess. Appears to be a carbon steel spear point blade with a common nail pull but may have been a Wharncliffe blade. It’s been sharpened quite a bit and both faces have quite a bit of scattered pitting and scratches from use and sharpening. Stamped on the rear tang is the Boker script stamp and stamped on the front tang is the Boker Tree Brand tree logo used in that era. The fourth blade is the 2nd carbon steel pen blade with a common nail pull.  Its been sharpened quite a bit but does have a nice straight cutting edge. It has scratches from use and sharpening but just a few scattered light pits with most on the front face. Stamped on the front tang is the Boker script stamp and stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Brand tree logo used in that era.  Remember that all four blades are very sharp so use caution when handling. All four blades have excellent snap on open and close and hard half-stops. The knife has a nice set of brown smooth bone scales. They may have been jigged initially but they’re smooth now. This knife was carried for a long time in someone’s pocket and used and sharpened but not abused. Well maybe a little when sharpening. They’re in great condition with no cracks, splits or missing chips. There is a uniquely shaped special brightly polished nickel silver bar shield though it has a bit of a silvery snakelike look with its rounded ends and curved body. There are three nickel silver handle pins in each scale. The knife has brightly polished nickel silver elongated bolsters and they’re free of any dents or dings. The liners on the knife are brightly polished brass. The knife has two (2) steel back springs and both are free of any cracks or breaks and they both continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform. This is a large mass of steel, nickel silver, brass and bovine bone that they turned into a large well made 4-Blade Congress nearly a hundred years ago. This big dog is 4 1/4” in length.
