This is a Nearly Near Mint UTICA (arched) CUTLERY CO UTICA, NY 3-Blade Equal End Junior Cattle Folding Pocket Knife with an Unused and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Clip Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull, an Unused and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Spey Point Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, an Unused Carbon Steel Leather Punch, a Gorgeous Set of Black Rough Black Composition Scales in Excellent Condition with No Cracks, Splits or Missing Chips with a Shallow Easy Open on the Top of the Rear Scale for Easier Access to the Punch Blade, Three (3) Polished Brass Handle Pins in Each Scale, a Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Crest Shaped Shield on the Front Scale, Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Rounded Bolsters, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, Two Brightly Polished Steel Back Springs with No Cracks or Breaks, 3 3/8” in Length, Made by the Utica Cutlery Company of Utica, New York.

Utica began using the Kutmaster trademark in 1937 and started switching all their knives over to that trademark. It has the early arched UTICA stamping being made between c.1910-1937. The knife has an unused and unsharpened carbon steel spear point main blade with a common nail pull very near the blade tip. It retains its original factory mirror polish and its original factory edge. The front face is clean but the rear face has a few scattered small clusters of micro-pitting and a couple of spider legs. Stamped on the front tang is UTICA (arched)(over) CUTLERY CO (over) UTICA, N.Y. (over) MADE IN U.S.A. Next to the clip blade is an unused and unsharpened carbon steel spey point secondary blade with a common nail pull. It still has its original factory mirror polish and its original factory edge. It has a couple of spider legs in the center of the blade just past the end of the nail pull. The rear face has one spot near the top of the blade and it looks like some nimrod attempted to erase it. They were unsuccessful of course and did more harm than good. On the other end of the frame is an unused carbon steel leather punch blade and it still has its original factory finish. There’s about three (3) specks on the outside round portion of the punch and some staining on the on the inside one the rear face of the punch. All three (3) blades still have excellent hard and loud snap on both open and close and solid half-stops. The knife has a great looking set of rough black molded composition scales. They’re in excellent plus condition with no cracks, splits or missing chips. There’s a brightly polished nickel silver crest shaped shield on the front scale. There are three (3) polished brass handle pins in each scale. The knife has brightly polished nickel silver rounded bolsters and brightly polished brass liners. There are two (2) steel back springs and both are free of any cracks or breaks and both continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform. This gorgeous nearly near mint Utica Cutlery Co 3-blade Junior Cattle Knife is 3 3/8” in length. Additional photos or information on request.
