BOKER & CO SOLINGEN 2-Blade Shadow Pen Folding Pocket Knife with an Unused and Unsharpened Stainless Steel Spear Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull, it’s Original Factory Mirror Polish and it’s Original Factory Edge and Part of the Original Salesman’s Code still Visible on the Front Face, an Unused and Unsharpened Stainless Steel Pen Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull and it’s Original Factory Mirror Polish and it’s Original Factory Edge, Black and Light Greenish Genuine Buffalo Horn Scales with No Cracks, Splits or Missing Chips, Three (3) Brass Handle Pins in Each Scale, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, a Single Mirror Polished Steel Back Spring with No Cracks or Breaks, 3 3/16” in Length, Made in Germany by H. Boker & Co. Located in Solingen, Germany and Made Between c.1869-1944 and Came Off a Salesman’s Sample Board from the Offices of the Boker Baumwerks. 

This knife came off a salesman’s sample board taken by Ernst Felix, the former president of Boker, when he left the company. Several of those boards of mint knives were acquired by Smokey Mountain Knife Works in the 1980’s. This knife is from one of those boards. This knife was made in the Boker factory in Germany.  The knife has an unused and unsharpened carbon steel spear point main blade with a common nail pull. It still has its original factory mirror polish and its original factory edge. It has just a few light specks along the top edge of the rear face. You can still see part of the original salesman’s code on the front face. Stamped on the front tang is H. BOKER & CO (over) SOLINGEN. Stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Brand tree logo for that era. On the other end of the frame is an unused and unsharpened carbon steel pen secondary blade with a common nail pull. It also still has its original factory mirror polish and its original factory edge. Stamped on the front tang is H. BOKER & CO (over) SOLINGEN. Stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Brand tree logo of the era.  Both blades have hard and very loud open and close snap and hard and loud snap on the half-stops. The scales are black and greenish genuine buffalo horn and are in excellent plus condition with no cracks, splits or missing chips. There are three (3)  brass handle pins in each scale. The liners are brightly polished brass as well. The knife has a single mirror polished steel back spring which is free of any cracks or breaks and continues to perform the functions it was designed to perform. It does have a coupe of pits. The stamping on this knife was used by the Boker Germany factory between c.1869-1944.  It comes right off a salesman’s sample board from the H Boker Baumwerks offices in Solingen, Germany.
