This is a 2 Knife Set of 1st Generation FRANK BUSTER CUTLERY GERMANY FIGHT'N ROOSTER 2-Blade & 1-Blade Folding Hunters Both with Identical #029 Serial Numbers Consisting of a 1-Blade Folding Hunter with a Beautiful Set of Multi-Colored Christmas Tree Celluloid Scales and 2-Blade Folding Hunter with Green, Black and White Celluloid Scales, Both Knives Having a Carbon Steel Clip Point Blade with Common Bail Pulls and Both Etched with Cock of the Walk, the 2-Blade Knife has a Carbon Steel Straight Top Blade with a common Nail Pull, German Steel Bolsters and End Caps and Brass Liners and Pins and Both are 5” in Length, Made by Frank Buster Cutlery Germany in Solingen, Germany in 1978.

This is a 2-knife set of Frank Buster Fight’n Rooster “Cock of the Walk” Folding Hunters. These were made and sold as a 2-knife set with matching serial numbers of #029 and there were only 600 sets made. These are also 1st generation knives being made in 1978. The first knife is a 1-blade Folding hunter. It has a carbon steel clip point blade with a common nail pull. Etched on the front face is Cock of the Walk with the 2 Fight’n Roosters in the middle. The serial number of #0229 is etched above it. Stamped on the front tang of the main blade is the 2 Fight’n Rooster Logo (over) SOLINGEN. Stamped on the back tang is FRANK BUSTER (in an arch) (over) CUTLERY (over) GERMANY. This is the first stamping used indicating this is a first generation knife with this set being made in 1978. The blade still has its original factory mirror polish and its original factory edge The blade still has has an excellent, hard and loud snap on both open and close. The scales on this one are a beautiful set of multi-colored orange, gold and black Christmas Tree Celluloid. There is a pressure crack on the end cap end pin on the front scale but I couldn’t get a good photo of it it emanates about 1/8” above and below the pin and is extremely tight. I think there is also another pressure crack on the booster end end pin that’s very hard to see. Also on the front scale is the 2 Fight’n Rooster logo that looks like an applied decal. There are three (3) brass handle pins in each scale. The liners are brass as well. The knife has a single steel back spring with no cracks or breaks. It continues to perform the functions it was designed to perform. The knife is 5” in length.

The second knife is a 2-blade Folding Hunter as well. It also has a carbon steel clip point main blade with a common nail pull. Etched on the front face is “Cock of the Walk” with the 2 Fight’n Roosters in the middle. The serial number of #029 is etched above it. Stamped on the front tang of the main blade is the 2 Fight’n Rooster Logo (over) SOLINGEN. Stamped on the back tang is FRANK BUSTER (in an arch) (over) CUTLERY (over) GERMANY. Again this is a 1st generation knife made in 1978. The secondary blade is a carbon steel straight top blade with a common nail pull. Stamped on the front tang is the 2 Rooster Fight’n Rooster (over) SOLINGEN. Stamped on the rear tang is SOLINGEN (over) GERMANY. Both blades still have their original factory mirror polish and their original factory edge. The knife has an excellent plus set of green, black and White Celluloid scales in perfect condition with no cracks, splits or missing chips it has the silver version of the 2 Rooster Fight’n Rooster logo applied on the front scale. There are three (3) brass handle pins in each scale. The liners are brass as well. It has brightly polished German Silver Bolsters and End Caps. The knife has two (2) polished steel back springs with no cracks or breaks. They continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform. The knife is 5” in length. This beautiful Folding Hunter us 5” in length and in near mint to mint condition. Additional photos or information
