ADDITIONAL INFO:     The Kershaw Wild Turkey was introduced in 1980s and was a consistently good seller until it was discontinued. For the 21^st Century Kershaw made some High-Tech knives based on the design of the original Wild Turkey but using modern materials. They also made them into sizes, the 1436 is the larger 4-3/8” version. They came with two choices of handles, the G-10 and the titanium handles. The G-10 handles are 40% lighter than aluminum handles the knife features Teflon coated bushings and one-handed opening. They also came with a removable pocket clip and most of the ones I have find with the G-10 handles are without the pocket clips. The knives are so light that people tend to carry them without the clip. This knife only weighs 2.25 ounces with the clip.

This is an important turn-of-the-century piece of Kershaw history for any Kershaw collection and is also great EDC. I am currently carrying the model 1435 which is the same knife except with the titanium handle. I have a number of both the original Wild Turkeys from the 1980s and several of the High-Tech Versions in both the small and large size. There are some of my favorite EDC’s because of the quality of the ATS-34 steel.
