This is a very nice example of Vintage W.R. Case & Sons CASE TESTED XX 2-Blade Serpentine Pen Folding Pocket Knife with a great set of multi-colored Christmas Tree glitter celluloid scales. Someone or multiple someone’s have taken very good care of this knife over the years. The knife has an unused and unsharpened carbon steel clip point main blade with a long nail pull. Both faces still retain most of their original factory mirror polish and it’s original factory edge. It does Have some minor liner and blade scuffs and some leftover haze from being cleaned and polished up. Stamped on the front tang is CASE (with the long tail C (over) TESTED XX. This stamp was used from c.1920-1940.  Though not stamped with the pattern number I can assure you this is a CT233 serpentine pen made by Case. The CT indicates the scales are multi-colored glitter celluloid. The 2 indicates a two bladed knife and the 33 is the pattern number which in this case means it’s a pen knife. On the other end of the frame is an unused and unsharpened carbon steel pen secondary blade with a common nail pull. This blade was never used either. It also retains most of its original factory mirror polish and it’s original factory edge. It also has some very minor blade and liner scuffs and a little leftover haze from the polishing paste. Always looks worse in the photos but when you see it up close the blades look mirror polished.  Stamped on the front tang is CASE (with the long tail C)(over) TESTED XX. This stamp was used between c.1920-1940.  Both blades still have a good snap on open and Asgard and loud snap on close. The knife has a beautiful set of multi-colored green, red, gold and black “Christmas Tree” glitter celluloid scales. They’re in excellent plus condition with no cracks, splits or missing chips. Plus they still retain the same sparkle as when they were new. There are three (3) brass handle pins in each scale. The knife has brightly polished nickel silver squared bolsters. The liners are brightly polished brass as well. It has a single brightly polished steel back spring and it’s free of any cracks or breaks and continues to perform the functions it was designed to perform. This nice old vintage W.R. Case & Sons CASE TESTED XX 2-Blade Serpentine Pen Folding Pocket Knife is in excellent unused condition and is 2 5/8” in length. Made between c.1920-1940 in Bradford, Pennsylvania.
