ADDITIONAL INFO:     The 1968 Western catalog was reprinted in part in Harvey Platt’s book, “The Knife Makers Who Went West.” The 1968 catalog describes this as; “Ranger ‘Knife and Saw’ - Nothing Else Like It On The Market!”  “Packs more utility in less space with less weight than any other piece of equipment ever made for the outdoorsmen!”

It was offered in 1968 in a kit form with the sharpening stone in a leather pouch and a tube of lubricant with the leather sheath.

This knife does not have the original Western sheath but an aftermarket sheath that appears to be custom made. It is designed for horizontal carry.

A great piece to add to your hunting or outdoor gear but nice enough to look good in your collection.
