BOKER & CO’S IMPROVED CUTLERY 2-Blade Equal End Senator Pen Folding Pocket Knife with an Unused and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Spear Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull, it’s Original Factory Mirror Polish and it’s Original Factory Edge, an Unused and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Pen Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull and it’s Original Factory Mirror Polish and it’s Original Factory Edge, A Beautiful Set of Pale Yellow Celluloid Scales  in Excellent Plus Condition with No Cracks, Splits or Missing Chips, Three (3)  Brightly Polished Brass Handle Pins in Each Scale, Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Rounded Bolsters, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, a Single Mirror Polished Steel Back Spring with No Cracks or Breaks, 3 3/8” in Length, Made in Germany by H. Boker & Co’s Located in Solingen, Germany and Made Between c.1869-1910 and Came Off a Salesman’s Sample Board from the Offices of the Boker Baumwerks. 

This rare knife came off a **Salesman’s Sample** board taken by Ernst Felix, the former president of Boker, when he left the company. Several of those boards of mint knives were acquired by Smokey Mountain Knife Works in the 1980’s. This knife is from one of those boards and has only recently been cut from one of those boards. This knife is at least 111 years old. This knife was made in the Boker factory in Germany between c.1869-1910. The knife has an unused and unsharpened carbon steel spear point main blade with a common nail pull. It still has its original factory mirror polish and its original factory edge and some hazing and light horizontal light scratches most likely from cleaning the blade. Stamped on the front tang is H. BOKER & CO’S (over) IMPROVED (over) CUTLERY. Stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Brand tree logo for that era. On the other end of the frame is an unused and unsharpened carbon steel pen secondary blade. It still maintains its original factory mirror polish and its original factory edge. Just some light hazing from leftover polishing paste and a few incidental cleaning scratches  Stamped on the front tang is H. BOKER & CO’S (over) CUTLERY (over) GERMANY.  Stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Brand tree logo of the era. Both blades still have the same excellent hard and loud open, close and half-stop snap as it did when it first came off the factory floor. The scales are a great set of pale yellow celluloid. They are in excellent plus condition with no cracks, splits or missing chips. There are three brass handle pins in each scale. The liners are brightly polished brass as well. The knife has a single mirror polished steel back spring which is free of any cracks or breaks and continues to perform the functions it was designed to perform. The stamping on this knife was used by the Boker Germany factory between c.1869-1910.  It comes right off a salesman’s sample board from the H Boker Baumwerks offices in Solingen, Germany.
