This Knife is One of a Dozen or So in Mint or Near Mint Condition Taken From a Salesman’s Sample Roll

This is a Salesman’s Sample Near Mint Colonial Prov., RI 3 3/4” Long 2-Blade Electrician’s Folding Pocket Knife with an Unused and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Spear Point Blade with a Common Nail Pull and Still Has it’s Original Factory Finish and Its Original Factory Edge and Etched in Black on the Front Face with Jensen, an Unused and Flat Head Screwdriver Blade with a Wire Stripper with a Center Brass Liner Lock That Locks the Screwdriver Blade in Place When Fully Opened, Black Sawn Delrin Scales with No Cracks, Splits or Missing Chips, 2 Nickel Silver Handle Pins in Each Scale Along with the Two Rivets Holding the Original Bail to the Frame, Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Squared Bolsters, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, 2 Heavy Duty Polished Steel Back Springs, 3 3/4” in Length and Made by the Colonial Cutlery Co. Located in Providence, Rhode Island and Taken From A Salesman’s Sample Roll.

I bought a Colonial Knife Co. Salesman’s Sample Knife roll with about a dozen or so mint or near mint condition knives of various patterns. These aren’t vintage knives but they are ones they haven’t made for sometime. I believe they’re from the early 2000’s but that’s just a guess. But most are in mint condition. This one is just a few specks shy of being mint. This is a nice Colonial Electrician’s Knife. It has an unused and unsharpened carbon steel spear point main blade with a common nail pull. It still has its original factory finish and its original factory edge. Etched in black on the front face is Jensen, a potential Colonial customer, I presume. There are just a very few, very minor, specks on the faces. Stamped on the front tang is Colonial (over) Prov., RI. Next to it is an unused carbon steel flathead screwdriver blade with a wire stripper. It’s still has its original factory finish. The screwdriver blade locks in place when fully opened by the brass Liner Lock. Both blades still have excellent open and close snap. The scales are black sawn Delrin and in perfect condition with no cracks, splits or missing chips. There are two Nickel silver handle pins in each scale along with the two rivets holding on the original bail to the scale. It has brightly polished nickel silver squared bolsters. The liners are brightly polished brass. The knife has two heavy duty polished back springs and both are free of any cracks or breaks. They both continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform. The knife is 3 3/4” in length. Additional information or photos upon request.
