BOKER & CO SOLINGEN 3- Blade Serpentine Premium “STREAMLINE STOCK KNIFE” Folding Pocket Knife with an Unused and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Turkish Clip Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull and Frosted on the Front Face and Reversed Etched with “STREAMLINE STOCK KNIFE”, an Unused and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Spey Point Secondary Blade, a Carbon Steel Leather Punch On the Opposite End of the Frame, an Excellent Set of Black and Green Water Buffalo Horn Scales in Perfect Condition with No Cracks, Splits, Missing Chips or Slivers, a Brightly Polished German Silver Crest Shaped Shield Inlaid Flush in the Front Scale, Three (3) Brightly Polished German Silver Handle Pins in Each Scale, Brightly Polished German Silver Slanted & Rounded Bolsters with a Single Flute, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, Two (2) Polished Steel Back Springs with No Cracks or Breaks, 3 5/8” in Length, Made by H Boker & Co in Solingen, Germany.

This knife is one of many I’m selling that came directly off a Salesman’s Sample Board that was in the H Boker factory in Solingen, Germany which was taken by Ernst Felix, the former president of Boker, when he left the company. The knife has only recently been cut from the board and has never been used or carried. This is a beautiful vintage, or antique H. BOKER & CO SOLINGEN 3-blade Serpentine Premium Stockman “STREAMLINE STOCK KNIFE” Folding Pocket Knife. It has an unused and unsharpened carbon steel Turkish Clip Point main Blade with a common nail pull. The front face is frosted and reversed etched with “STREAMLINE STOCK KNIFE”. There are several small stains scattered near t;he very top of the blade. The back face has a few specks near the top middle of the blade. The knife still has its original factory finish and its original factory edge. Stamped on the front tang is H BOKER & CO (over) SOLINGEN. Stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Brand logo of that era. The secondary blade is an unused and unsharpened carbon steel Spey point blade with a common nail pull. It still has its original factory finish and its original factory edge. There is a small cluster of light, but concentrated, pitting on the front face along the top just past the end of the nail pull which carries over the top to the rear face and down to near the bottom of that face. The front tang is stamped ELBECO (over) SOLINGEN MAKE (over) GERMANY. This gave me pause at first but my research discovered that Elbeco was a razor maker in Solingen and owned by H Boker. Apparently they made some pocketknife blades for them. On the opposite end of the frame is a carbon steel punch blade. Stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Brand logo that was used in that era. All three blades have very good to excellent and hard snap on open and close. The knife has an outstanding set of black and green Water Buffalo Horn scales. They’re in great condition with no cracks, splits or missing chips. There’s a brightly polished German Silver crest shaped shield inlaid flush in the front scale. There are three brightly polished German Silver pins in each scale. The knife has brightly polished German Silver slanted and rounded bolsters with a single flute and brightly polished brass liners. It has two polished steel back springs with no cracks or breaks and just a small area of hard to see micro-pitting. Both springs continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform. This is a a very rare Salesman’s Sample H. Boker & Co Solingen 3-Blade Serpentine Premium Stockman which Boker called their “Streamline Stock Knife” with great water Buffalo scales and German Silver slanted bolsters and directly off a salesman’s sample board from the H Boker factory.
