This is a MINT CONDITION Vintage German Made H. BOKER & CO SOLINGEN 3-Blade Equal End Splitback Whittler Folding Pocket Knife that Came From a Salesman’s Sample Board Out of the Heinrich Boker Baumwerks Factory in Solingen by Ernst Felix, Former President of Boker, and has a Unused and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Spear Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull, it’s Original Factory Mirror Polish am day it’s Original Factory Edge, an Unused and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Pen Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, it’s Original Factory Mirror Polish and it’s Original Factory Edge, a Carbon Steel Dual-Sided Nail File, or Manicure, Tertiary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, an Excellent Plus Set of Light Brown Jigged Bone Stag Scales in Perfect Condition with No Cracks, Splits or Missing Chips, Three Brass Handle Pins in Each Scale, Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Rounded Bolsters, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, Two Steel Back Springs with No Cracks or Breaks, 3 1/4” in Length, Made in Germany by H. Boker & Co Solingen between c.1919-1932.

This is a vintage Mint Condition H. Boker & Co Solingen Equal End Splitback Whittler Folding Pocket Knife. This knife came out of a Salesman’s Sample Board that was kept in the Boker factory in Germany and taken by Ernst Felix, a former president for Boker. It has an unused and unsharpened carbon steel spear point main blade with a common nail pull. It still retains its original factory mirror polish and its original factory edge. There is a single speck on the front face. Stamped on the front tang is H. BOKER & CO (over) SOLINGEN. Stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Logo of the period. On the other end of the knife is an unused and unsharpened carbon steel pen secondary blade with a common nail pull. It too still retains its original factory mirror polish and its original factory edge. Stamped on the front tang is H. BOKER & CO (over) SOLINGEN. Stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Logo of the period. The final blade is a carbon steel dual-sided fingernail file, or manicure, blade with a common nail pull. Each face has a standard vertical ridge and valley type nail file. The top portion of the blade is the fingernail cleaner. Stamped on the front tang is the Boker tree logo. Stamped on the rear tang is H. BOKER & CO (over) SOLINGEN. The spear blade has an excellent open and close snap. The pen blade and the file blade have excellent open, close and half-stop snap. The knife has an excellent plus set of light brown jigged bone stag scales in perfect condition. They are free of any cracks, splits or missing chips. There is a brightly polished nickel silver shield on the front scale which is sort of a hybrid gimp/bar type. There are three brass handle pins in each scale. The knife has brightly polished nickel silver rounded bolsters with no dents or dings. The knife has brightly polished brass liners and two polished steel back springs which are in a split back spring configuration. This allows the secondary and tertiary blades to each ride on their own back spring while the wider main blade rides on both of the back springs. Both back springs are free of any cracks or breaks and both continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform. This MINT CONDITION vintage H. BOKER & CO SOLINGEN Salesman’s Sample Equal End Splitback Whittler Pocket Knife is 3 1/4” in length and was made between c.1869-1910 at the Boker factory in Germany.
