This is a nice looking used vintage gold toned embossed metal equal end shadow pen pocket knife. The knife has a used and sharpened carbon steel spear point main blade with a long nail pull. Both blades faces have scattered light staining. Stamped on the front tang is COLONIAL MERIDEN (over) KNIFE CO (over) U S A. It has a used and sharpened carbon steel pen secondary blade with a common nail pull. Both faces have just a few very light stains. Both blades have excellent open and close snap. The handles are gold toned embossed metal with both having wavy horizontal lines as the pattern. The front scale has a long rectangle with a smooth surface within it. The rear scale has a much smaller rectangle smooth area I assume where one would etch initials. Both sides polished up bright and beautiful but they do have a few dents and dings. The original gold toned or brass bail is still attached to the frame with rivets. The handles also serve as the liners. It has a single polished steel back spring. It’s free of any cracks or breaks and continues to perform the functions it was designed to perform. This Colonial Cutlery Co. gold tone embossed shadow pen pocket knife was made in Providence, Rhode Island. The knife is 2 3/4” in length. Additional photos or information on request.
