This is a Well Used Vintage H. BOKER & CO SOLINGEN 2-Blade Equal End Shadow Pen Folding Pocket Knife with a Used and Sharpened Stainless Steel Spear Point Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Very Used and Sharpened Stainless Steel Pen Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Plain Smooth Set of Stainless Steel Handles, Two (2) Stainless Steel Handle Pins in Each Scale, One (1) Brightly Steel Back Spring with No Cracks or Breaks, 3 1/4” in Length, Made in Germany by H. Boker & Co Solingen Between c.1869-1944.

This is a basically plain but old and vintage well used and sharpened all Stainless steel 2-blade equal end shadow pen folding pocket knife. Someone, or a number of owners, certainly got the most they could out of this old knife thigh it’s got plenty of life left yet. This knife was made in the Boker Baumwerks factory located in Solingen, Germany between c.1869-1944. So it’s definitely been around a while. The knife has a very well used and sharpened, though it has a nice straight edge, it has the expected scratches from use and sharpening but it still polished up pretty well. Stamped on the front tang is H. BOKER & CO (over) SOLINGEN. Stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Brand Tree logo from that era and ROSTFREI, which is German for stainless. On the other end of the frame is a very very used and sharpened down stainless steel pen secondary blade with a common nail pull. What’s left of it has scratches from use and sharpening but it too polished up well. Stamped on the front tang is H. BOKER & CO (over) SOLINGEN. Stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Brand Tree logo of the era and ROSTFREI to its left which is German for stainless steel. Both blades still have excellent, hard and loud open and close snap. However, because the pen blade is so short now you have to use caution and pay attention when closing the blades as the second blade closed will hammer down on the top of the other blade. Like the blades the handles are plain and smooth stainless steel with no decorations or stamping. There is a shallow easy open on the top of each handle to allow for easier access to each blade’s mail pulls. There are two (2) stainless steel handle pins in each scale. The knife has a single steel back spring that is free of any cracks or breaks. It continues to perform the functions it was designed to perform. The stampings on the blade tangs were used by the German Boker factory between c.1869-1944. Additional photos or information on request.
