This is a Near Mint Condition Vintage or Antique ***SALESMAN’S SAMPLE*** BÖKER SOLINGEN GERMANY-ALEMANIA 3-Blade Shadow Lobster Pen Folding Pocket Knife, with an Unused and Unsharpened Stainless Steel Spear Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull, its Original Factory Mirror Polish and it’s Original Factory Edge, a Stainless Steel Dual-Sided Fingernail File, or Manicure, Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Stainless Steel Set of Working Scissors with the Spring Still in Place and Opening from the Bottom of the Frame, Milled Stainless Steel Scales, a Single Stainless Steel Handle Pin in Each Scale, Internal Steel Back Springs with No Cracks or Breaks, 3” in Length, Made in the Böker Factory Located in Solingen, Germany and Made Between the 1950’s and 1960’s and Came From a Salesman’s Sample Board Taken From the Boker Factory in Solingen.

This BOKER SOLINGEN GERMANY-ALEMANIA stamp was one of the stampings used on Boker Knives made in Germany primarily from the 1950’s to the 1960’s. It came from a salesman’s sample board in the Heinrich Boker Baumwerks in Solingen, Germany and taken by Ernst Felix, former President of Boker, when he left the company. This Boker 3-blade Equal end shadow lobster pen pocket knife is in NEAR MINT condition and taken directly from a salesman’s sample board. The knife has an unused and unsharpened stainless steel spear point main blade with a common nail pull. It still retains all its original factory mirror polish and its original factory edge. Stamped on the front tang is the Boker Tree brand Tree logo and to its right is BÖKER (over) SOLINGEN (over) GERMANY-ALEMANIA. Stamped on the rear tang is STAINLESS (over) ROSTFREI (over) INOXIDABLE. ROSTFREI is German for Stainless and INOXIDABLE is Spanish for stainless steel. On the opposite end of the frame is a stainless steel dual-sided fingernail file, or manicure, secondary blade with a common nail pull. Each face has a standard vertical ridge and valley type file while the top end of the blade is the fingernail cleaner. Stamped on the front tang is the Boker Tree brand Tree logo and then STAINLESS (over) INOXIDABLE stamped vertically to its right. Opening from the bottom of the frame is a set of fully working stainless steel scissors with the spring still in place. Stamped on the bottom of the scissors is the Boker Tree brand Tree logo and then stamped vertically is STAINLESS (over) INOXIDABLE. All three blades, or tools, still have excellent open and close snap. The scales are a set of milled stainless steel the front scale is milled with sets of parallel lines separated by smooth areas. Near one end there is a rectangle and milled within it appears to be a church with a large clock in front of it. Just beneath that is Wiesbaden. Wiesbaden is a city of about a quarter million people just west of Frankfurt, Germany. There is a single ding on the rear face and the only reason I called it near mint versus mint though it’s easily considered mint by NKCA standards.
