To the best of my knowledge, they are still in business. This company made a lot contract knives for American companies. This knife may have made for a US company as a special edition commemorative. I left the sheath with the knife, just as I bought it. It appears the knife belonged to someone, likely a sailor, who was proficient in knotwork.
