This is an A.G. Russell folding lockback.  Made in Seki Japan in the 1990's by some of Japan's finest craftsmen.  The handles are a very striking red colored Micarta and are chip and crack free.  The blade is made of the more expensive and better ATS-34 stainless steel and has not been used or resharpened.  The bolsters are nickel silver with nickel silver pins and liners.  The run up, where the blade and backspring meet is impressively tight, see the photo.  This knife is marked with a notch in the ricasso, which is how A.G. Russell marked factory seconds.  The only flaw I can find is the lock release has grinding marks on both sides.  I'm guessing that the release was too tight and the solution was to grind down the sides of the lock release.  Since it is visible, they marked this as a second.  It locks up good and solid w/ no wobble or play.  Measures 4" closed OAL.  No box.  Free shipping within the USA.
