I purchased this knife at a local estate auction in about 2010. The owner of this knife had several better knives and at some point they were all put in a Craftsman tool box and put outside in a storage building. When I bought this knife the blades were so gunked up they would hardly open and close. I honestly thought both ends were  XX / USA because they were so dirty you couldn't see the tang stamps clearly. When I got the knife home and discovered what I had I send it to Kaleb (Muskrat Man) and asked him to clean it up for me without giving it that hideous buffed to the max look. He did a great job and the blades open and close and have good snap as a new knife now. I don't know how long the knife spent in the tool box, but perhaps years of improper storage caused the lighter appearance of the back handle? On the maker's side the blade at the top end is XX / USA and is stamped 54052 on the back and then the bottom end blade has 10 dots and is not stamped with a pattern number on the back. . This is one of the better transitions of them all. This is used, it has been cleaned and the blades have scratches on them, but I don't think any of the 4 have ever been sharpened. Price is firm.
