DAMAGE:  Some wear to the handles and blade. Wear and dings from use.

BLADE WEAR:  Overall approx. 10% blade loss. Tip is approx. 1/8” short.

SNAP:   Nice snap for such a small and old knife.

ADDITIONAL INFO:   This is an old and I think very cool baseball bat knife. Aside from the nice walk and talk and good snap this has a very cool old Utica tang stamp. I believe this knife was made well before the Kutmaster brand was introduced by Utica Cutlery. According to Goins’ the Kutmaster name was introduced in 1937. I am by no means an expert on Utica knives, but I believe this tang stamp dates to the 1920s, perhaps even earlier. The old arched lettering of the top line with the large serif is pretty cool looking and definitely dates it is an older tang stamp.
