DAMAGE:   Normal use and sharpening wear. Some dings on the liners on the bottom by the springs. See pictures.

ADDITIONAL INFO:     I am not sure when this knife was made, but I would approximate date that mid-1962 to sometime in the 1970s. It appears to be made with the Swindon key system, there is no visible external pivot pin, which makes me think it was made by Schrade. The Schrade began using Delrin handle material approximate 1961 which also coincides close to the date that they began using the Swindon key system, about 1961-1962. It is a little unusual in that it has a different stamping on each bolster. It has the Blue Grass stamp on the front bolster and it is stamped Belknap Barlow on the rear bolster. Blue Grass was a brand of knives sold by Belknap Hardware. Belknap Hardware was sold in the inventory dispersed in 1985. There is a company today who uses the Blue Grass Cutlery name. The name was acquired in and Blue Grass Cutlery was formed in 1988 and is now using some of the old brand names they acquired from Belknap, such as John Primble, Blue Grass, Pine Knot and others.
