IT LOOKS LIKE THE TIP OF THE FILE BLADE IS BROKEN (SEE PHOTOS)

The blades show some signs of use and wear. Some oxidation and patina.  Some scratches on the blades and scales.   Please see photos for condition.  If you would like more photos please ask and I will send you more.

EKA is northern Europe's last folding knife maker. They started making knives in 1882, in the town of Eskilstuna, Sweden. The town of Eskilstuna, has an ancient tradition of working with iron and steel, that goes back to pre-Viking times. The first water driven forge was in existence as long ago as 1485.EKA`s founder was Hadar Hallström who started up 'Hadar Hallströms´s Knife Factory Ltd' in 1882. John Elmquist took over EKA in 1917, and he gave the company its current name, 'EKA knives'. The period 1900-1930, was a very hard time for knife makers in Scandinavia. Out of 40 pocket-knife makers, only EKA survived.

EKA is a supplier to the Royal Court of Sweden. The stainless steel  the knives are made of comes from Swedish Sandvik Steels.

 Sandvik 12C27. Swedish stainless steel 12C27 is a martensitic stainless chromium steel with an optimized analysis for high quality professional knife applications. After heat treatment, the composition of carbon and chromium gives a unique combination of properties including good corrosion and wear resistance.
