ADDITIONAL INFO:      By consulting the pictures you can see this knife was made in September 2005. Neither the 2005 or 2006 Kershaw catalogs list a black version of the Storm. I looked through my Kershaw catalogs and found the Storm appeared in the catalogs from 2005 to 2009, but none of the catalogs or pricelists showed a 1470BLK. The Storm does not appear in the 2010 Kershaw catalog. I don’t know what this means, perhaps the black version was and SFO for a certain retailer, such as Walmart. We have certainly seen that sort of thing with knife companies in the past, SFO’s (Special Factory Orders), for a variation of the pattern that is manufactured only for release through that particular retailer. Is this 1470BLK more valuable than a standard 1470 without the black finish? I don’t know, as I could find no record of a 1470BLK listed on eBay, neither in the open auctions or the completed auctions/sold items. Therefore I am pricing this knife comparable to the 1470s sold on eBay.
