VINTAGE RARE 1873-1973 CENTENNIAL MODEL WINCHESTER 5.5" JACK KNIFE WITH TWO 4.25" STAINLESS BLADES GENUINE JIGGED BONE SCALES AND NICKEL SILVER BOLSTERS AND BRASS LINERS AND PINS..THE BLADES ARE FULL STOP, LIKE NEW, SNAP WALK AND SNAP TALK. THE BLADES ARE FACTORY FINISH AND NEVER USED. I RATE THIS KNIFE IN MINT CONDITION...CONSISTENT WITH AGE AND NO-USE...THERE IS A BIT OF MYSTERY ABOUT THIS WINCHESTER. STAMPED WINCHESTER ON THE TANG OF THE MAIN BLADE AND WINCHESTER ENGRAVED ON ONE SIDE AND GERMANY ON THE OTHER. THE SHEILD OF THE WINCHESTER REPEATING RIFLE AND STAMPED 1873-1973 MAKING THIS A CENTENNIAL COLLECTORS KNIFE, ACCORDING TO THE STAMP. FROM MY EXPERIENCE THIS IS A QUALITY WELL BUILT KNIFE, MADE ESPECIALLY FOR 1873 WINCHESTER REPEATING RIFLE'S CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION IN 1973. IN SOME OF THE KNIFE BOOKS THIS KNIFE IS BEING CALLED A COUNTERFIET OR A REPRODUCTION THAT WAS NOT TRADEMARK AUTHORIZED. I HAVE TO DISGREE..THINK ABOUT IT WHY WOULDN'T WINCHESTER WANT THEIR 1873 WINCHESTER RIFLE RECOGNIZED FOR ITS 100 YEAR ANNIVERSARY? REMINGTON DID THE SAME THING, WHY WOULDN'T WINCHESTER...ITS JUST GOOD MARKETING...HOLDING THE KNIFE IN MY HAND I WOULD SAY THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT IT IS. ONE QUESTION REMAINS. WHAT KNIFE COMPANY IN GERMANY MADE THIS KNIFE. DOES ANYONE KNOW? CAUSE I DON'T...THAT WOULD PROBABLY A QUESTION FOR WINCHESTER ARMS....
