Vintage 1998 Case XX Classic 5340 Stockman Stag Handle Final Etch knife.  Case Classic 5340 3 Blade Big Texas Stockman pattern. The 40 pattern was the very last Case Classic pattern to be issued. This model features Genuine Stag scales, and the Case Oval Shield, which is pinned to the frame; the length is 4 3/8" closed. The master blade is etched with "Final Production Run Case Classic Series" "Saved Best For Last" etching. The tang stamp reads Case XX 1998; the rear tang is pattern stamped with Tested XX 5340. The Sheepfoot and Spey blades are both stamped with Case XX Bradford PA USA. The front Genuine Stag scale has an approximately 3/8 inch line/crack in the Stag above the right pin.  The blades are produced with a factory mirror polished carbon cutlery steel. The blades are in mint condition. This knife is in the original issue Case Classic "Pumpkin" style box with letter of authenticity.  Shipping by USPS Priority Mail with insurance.
