ADDITIONAL INFO:   The Wild Turkey, #4150, first appears in the Kershaw catalogs in 1984. At that time Kershaw did not usually publish a bound catalog but simply mailed to their dealers updated sheets or flyers and a folder in which to keep the most recently updated sheets. I was managing a cutlery store at this time 30 miles from the Kershaw headquarters and received updates regularly to the Kershaw book, but it was always confusing to my employees as to which Kershaw sheets for the most up-to-date. Because of the system there are no bound catalogs that I am aware of from the earlier days of Kershaw, prior to the late 1980s. But I do have Kershaw flyers dated 1984 that clearly show the Kershaw Lil’ Cody, Whiskey Gap, Wild Turkey and Big Joe models. They were part of the Officer Ranch series of knives. The Wild Turkey, #4150, is probably one of my favorite knife designs of all times! I have several variations of the Wild Turkey and I have multiples of the #4150 pattern. It can be opened with one hand without difficulty and easily unlocked & closed, also with one hand. It is a smooth, easy operating knife with great walk & talk. The 3-3/4” size is a great size for me with large hands, and yet the slim and sleek design makes it comfortable for me as well as for users with smaller hands.
