DAMAGE:   None noted, the blade is a stiff because of dried grease in the joint. I applied some Quick Release Oil and will work with it more before shipping.

ADDITIONAL INFO:     I only see this series of USA made Officer Ranch knives offered in the 1999-2000 catalog. It does not have the factory sheath that came with it. It comes with box and warranty paperwork, but without the box insert piece. I believe the PREMIER EDITION 1996 etch on the blade is the year this pattern (Wildcat Ridge) was introduced. On the rear of the blade is the signature of Pete Kershaw. As far as I can tell from my catalogs the Wildcat Ridge II was only offered in the 1999-2000 Kershaw catalog. The Wildcat Ridge II as well as the Corral Creek II and the Black Gulch II were all made from 440A blade steel and the frame was a sintered metal alloy frame insert. These knives were made in Tualatin Oregon, USA. They were made at a time when Kershaw was introducing a lot of new concepts and ways of doing things differently than they had been done when all the knives were manufactured in Japan. It was at this time that Kershaw introduced several really nice patterns and some with very high-grade steel. I love some of the unique designs that came from this particular time and Kershaw’s history. If you like Kershaw’s, don’t let this one get away!
