CHRISTMAS SPECIAL over 20% OFF - was $130 - Now only $100

BRAND:   Kershaw

PATTERN:   Big Foot #2070

LENGTH (Closed):   5”

HANDLES:   Stainless steel liners/handles with rosewood inlays

BLADES:   Drop point blade

CONDITION:  Near Mint, in box.

DAMAGE:  No damage noted to knife. Box has wear. Piles side handle does have a little shiny ring on the wood where it has rubbed against the back of the snap on the inside of the sheath. No doubt this could be buffed out, but I will leave that to the new owner.

BLADE WEAR:  None. Blade appears to be unused and unsharpened.

SNAP:   Nice loud snap

ADDITIONAL INFO:      I am not sure exactly when the Bigfoot #2070 was introduced, but I believe it was in the fall or winter of 1984. It is not listed in my 1984 catalog but the #2070 is listed in my Winter 84 – 85 catalog. The Winter 84 – 85 catalog has Kershaw’s Jean Road, Lake Oswego, Oregon address on it. The 1986 Kershaw pricelist I have has the Wilsonville Oregon address on it. If memory serves me correctly, (and sometimes it doesn’t), I believe it was about this time that Kai Cutlery purchased Kershaw Knives from Pete Kershaw and move the company from the small building on Jean Road in Lake Oswego to the more spacious warehouse on S. W. Parkway in Wilsonville Oregon. It was about this time I believe the tang stamp was changed and “Oregon USA” was dropped from the tang stamp. I believe with the introduction date of this knife pattern and the “Oregon USA” tang stamp that this knife was made in 1984 or 1985. The Big Foot was a late addition to the Kershaw Easy Rider series. I believe it was the last new pattern introduced in the series and I don’t think it was in the catalogs for more than a couple years. This is the first Big Foot I have seen in the box with the sheath since I managed a cutlery store in Oregon in the 1980s. This would be a great addition to anyone’s collection of early Kershaws!
